The parents of Bridlington School children should have the right to buy school trousers or skirts without logos from whichever retailer they see fit.

When the time comes to choose a secondary school for my daughter I will be taking the cost of uniform into account and I have to say its not looking good for Brid school! Not everyone can afford expensive trousers!!!

Uniforms are expensive enough when just buying jumpers and tshirts,especially families with more than 1 child!. Forcing females to wear branded trousers is WRONG and takes away their own feminine rights! No one has the right to say females cannot wear skirts! Money is also an issue in this day and age. Not everyone can afford branded goods and you should be ashamed for even considering it.

It's time the teachers led by example. Why is there no uniform for the teachers? They are council workers after all...

Is it really necessary to have a badge on every piece of clothing they wear. A badge on their jumper is enough. Some people just simply cannot afford to spend that amount of money whether they work or not.

3 uniform changes in 3 years can't possibly be justified! Uniforms are expensive enough without this unnecessary expense. I only have 1 child at school but really begrudge paying the extra and having my freedom of choice taken away! As others have pointed out a pair of trousers can be purchased from Tesco for around £6 -£. We are now expected to pay at least double if not triple this, how families on low incomes or with 2 or 3 children will afford this I do not know. I too will be contacting the headteacher.

Unfair to be restricted where to buy not all people have the same incomes and then to have to put Logo on by the time it's finished they be wanting logos tattooing on the pupils bodies

Im sorry but this is a load of rubbish I have a brother at the school and a brother coming up to year 7 and that means my mum has to pay like £60 for 3 pairs a trousers and that is only for one pair each this schpol is getting rediculous and it is stupid

they are only going to effect our grades by children not wearing them and can not afford them they are stupid and ridiculous! you're trying to solve the problem of children in the incorrect uniform yet you're only going to have more children as they will refuse or can not afford them

My twins are going into year 9 - this will be our 3rd consecutive uniform change in 3 years. How is that justifiable? If it's certain kids who are not adhering to the existing uniform policy - enforce it !!! . Families are under more financial pressure than ever before, Tescos sell school trousers for around £6 but instead we will have to pay around £20. Its excessive and wasteful.

Two kids at Brid school this sept both needing 2 pair of trousers each !!! £80 before we even look at the rest of the uniform !!!! I havent got money to burn... its the minority spoiling it for the majority ! Save your fashion pants for your days off and holidays !
