Perhaps NGM will offer their parking lot that's mostly vacant on Saturdays to the Keene Farmers Market. With its location just across the street their would be little to no disruption for the farmers/producers and customers.

The city needs to give the market proper notice. I find it hard to believe that didn't know about this last year. The farmer's market is so important for many reasons. It needs to be supported.

I think the powers that be were planning to pave the lot - have they looked at the REST of our fair city?! Let's leave the parking lot be; leave the market where it is, and work on some of the streets!

When I come to visit Keene from CT, one of the first stops I make it to the Farmer's market. Why the town would want to move locations or stop this is beyond me. First the Pumpkin Festival and now this. Maybe it's time Keene elects some new officials who care about local events!

We're being asked to move due to construction that is planned for the current space. I can't remember all the details at the moment but I know Edgefield Farm and Holland Homestead Farm have both posted more info on their facebook pages.

Six weeks notice is not sufficient forsomething as big as the Keene Farmers' Market to make a reasonable relocation happen. Can't the parking lot work be delayed a year to accommodate either a temporary or permanent relocation of the Market? The Keene Farmers' Market is such an important part of our vibrant local economy and local food systems. Let's find a solution that can work out in the best interest of the whole community.
