being a sportsman myself , feel very disappointed that young children keep facing all these cuts just to save money ,which is normally spent in wrong areas

The council want to suck the life out of sport around here. Condradict themselves moaning about child obesity then taking one of the tools to stay active away from them.

I've worked hard to get two under 11's teams up and running this year!! I give up my time for the kids!! But RCT want to take all that away. There's a big fuss about child obesity yet you take away all the sports around here we will never beat it!!

Cut the number of councillors and reduce pension contributions why should the public pay for council employees' pensions, private employees get no help and are paid less.

Most clubs are run by volunteers giving up their free time. How can anyone justify charging to use these pitches when the end result will be more obese, inactive children and an extra burden on society in later years!

This would be wrong to do this cause how would kids sport in the valley survive!

There should be more initiatives to make sport more inclusive for all. on one hand governments and councils talk about tackling an ever growing obesity problem, but on the other hand price individuals and teams out. whatever happened to the feel good factor of the olympics and encouraging kids to get involved in sports? just one great big gimmick after another.

The most important aspect of this idea is the fact that the council do not even look after the parks and pitches. Most teams especially the youngsters are run by volunteers for free or at least at very little cost to the participent. If this absurd plan is put into effect it will have enormous consequences on the community as a whole.
