North Dakota and South Dakota must combine to form one united Dakota. First off, there would be more political power resulting in 3 Representatives and 2 Senators. This merge would also lead to more government funding and an obvious population increase.Unfortunately, the state would become more liberal than it already is. This could lead to another bloody Kansas as people from both political parties would surge into the new state. Can you imagine that the two Dakotas currently have democratic senators? Mind Boggling!! We urge you to sign our petition because North Dakota really needs that tourist support that South Dakota brings in every year with Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. Think of the Dakotaians.
