Petition to the Texas A&M Board of Regents to go to the SEC
Where as...
A&M is a strong individual university in many different levels,
A&M is being placed in a position of opportunity to expand both its monetary, athletic, and scholastic traits to better the university for itself and its students,
It is well established that UT has in many situations through out the college athletic conference realignment been not straight forward and or purposely misleading in order to control the situation,
and given the current state of affairs with the current Big XII conference now that CU and NU have officially left for other conferences on their own decision...
It is the collective wills of those signed here unto that we formally request that the members of the Board of Regents strongly consider the opportunity provided by the South Eastern Conference (SEC) and wish to express our support of such a transition for Texas A&M University.
Please also make your voice heard by emailing the President of the University Dr. Loftin at president@tamu.edu
*Amendment*
While recent events have come to pass as of late June 14, 2010 that show to hold the Big XII at 10 teams, the collective will of the Aggie faithful still have the ability to be heard and we will continue to forge this petition along with other means of demonstration until we are at the very least heard and acknowledged. We as the Aggie Faithful will boldly stand and say:
"We will not go quietly into the night!
We will not vanish without a fight!
We're going to live on!
We're going to survive!"
Thank you.
