Greetings ladies & gentlemen,

This petition has been started to bring to people's attention that colleges have been clearly preferring students who have high test-scores scores despite declaring a test-optional/test-blind policy. Our team of 7 international students hailing from China, India, Egypt, Korea, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Nigeria has conducted elaborate research on the results of the Early Decision round through the intl2usa groups on all platforms from Reddit to discord with thousands of international applicants.

We have come to understand that multiple students who are "perfect fits" for their universities in terms of personality and profile, were not chosen for admission because they didn't have test scores. Many of these fantastic applicants, much like yourselves, did not have the opportunity to take the standardized tests, and they are now paying theprice for something they didn't do. We have also found out that admissions offers were given to many other applicants simply because they had high test-scores. We are not in a position to decide who deserves an admissions offer, but we have intuitively understood that colleges are not following their test-optional policy. We found that not one test-optional international full-aid applicant was accepted during the ED round into the Top 10 universities.

This matter is of grave concern for all of us international students, and we must sign this petition to remind colleges of their testing policies. Hopefully, admissions offices will read this and change their approach during the Regular Decision round.
