The people of Ballina, North Mayo and South Sligo are calling on Tesco to act in the best interests of the their staff and customers and proceed with the development of their site in Ballina Town Centre which they have received planning permission for some 4 years ago.
Since taking over from Quinnsworth approximately 20 years ago, little has been done with the current structure to improve the working & shopping conditions for staff and shoppers alike.
With a hinterland of approximately 40,000 people, the new development will make commercial sense for the multinational, offer additional employment in the area, and help to add to the ongoing town centre regeneration including the military barracks enterprise development.
With time of the essence we'd encourage as many people to complete the petition and share among friends & familes to ensure common sense prevails and the development commences.

Both Tesco & Dunnes have neglected their customer base in the Ballina area by not upgrading their stores & by doing so they're ceding business to Lidl & now to Aldi who're offering a better shopping experience to the Ballina area.
It's too old needs knocking and it's leaking water iv been in shop when drops off water has came down on me and the staff trying there best that nobody get hurt by putting buckets were it's leaking
Whats the point of Tesco new development when they only open 3/4 tills on busy days queues all over tills Poor staff then takes abuse for it
the area all around Tesco Ballina is an eyesore... i have stopped doing my shopping there... and go to Dunnes.... The shop itself Tesco is far too small and an insult to the the locals in Ballina.... Tesco are a disgraceful company... however the staff are always friendly and helpful... they deserve a much cleaner working environment ...
I have shopped in Tesco for many, many years, long before all the new stores popped up all over Mayo but I still have to shop in the super GROTTY Tesco in Ballina. Shame on you major multinational retailer for not investing where you make your money
New store would be a huge boost to Ballina.

Really would love to see a new improved tesco in Ballina. Sometimes stock is not as good as newer stores so we travel to swinford or castlebar. We r a family of 5 so do a big shop weekly
