As homeowners in Ocean Pines, our HOA dollars are funding a contract with Matt Ortt Companies, LLC. Who’s leadership is entangled in an on going investigation of a hit and run near Ocean City, MD. This incident resulted in the death of 14 year old Gavin Knupp, a tragic loss of a bright young man.

The vehicle involved in the incident was found on the property of Ralph DeAngelus- a partner of Matt Ortt Co.



We all want to enjoy the Ocean Pines Yacht Club without putting money in the pockets of those involved in this terrible incident and those that have not come forward and leave a family heartbroken without answers, peace of mind, or justice.

Until then, there are many of us- and hopefully more every day that will not support ANY of Matt Ortt Co. restaurants including: Ocean Pines Yacht Club, Coastal Salt, Coastal Smokehouse, Ocean Pines Beach Club, Ocean Pines Clubhouse Bar and Grille and Ocean City Rum Shack.
