Terminate Matt Ortt Co. contract with Ocean Pines Yacht Club

As homeowners in Ocean Pines, our HOA dollars are funding a contract with Matt Ortt Companies, LLC. Who’s leadership is entangled in an on going investigation of a hit and run near Ocean City, MD. This incident resulted in the death of 14 year old Gavin Knupp, a tragic loss of a bright young man.
The vehicle involved in the incident was found on the property of Ralph DeAngelus- a partner of Matt Ortt Co.
We all want to enjoy the Ocean Pines Yacht Club without putting money in the pockets of those involved in this terrible incident and those that have not come forward and leave a family heartbroken without answers, peace of mind, or justice.
Until then, there are many of us- and hopefully more every day that will not support ANY of Matt Ortt Co. restaurants including: Ocean Pines Yacht Club, Coastal Salt, Coastal Smokehouse, Ocean Pines Beach Club, Ocean Pines Clubhouse Bar and Grille and Ocean City Rum Shack.

I will not rejoin the pools, if they are still in Ocean Pines! I have been a pool member for more than 12 years, I wanted to cancel my membership after hearing about the incident and no progress at the beginning of August but OP refused.
Our community here at Ocean Pines is suppose to hold our people that represent it to a higher standard then what the Matt Ortt Company is demonstrating these past few months. We can find a better company to represent Ocean pines!
The community deserves a business that is based on honesty, integrity and works for the good of the community, not a business that lines their pockets, is dishonest and has no morals
Clean up the yacht club. I don’t want my family, supporting this establishment until they are out of there. We have to fear for our families out walking, riding bikes, on golf carts. Do they seriously think they are above the law? Get them out of there, do what’s right. They have no shame.
We stopped going to the Yacht Club after Gavins death. It's a shame that they did not come forward asap once they realized what they did. We will never patronize this place ever as long as it is under these owners.. #justiceforgavin
The actions of this company are an insult to our US Justice system.
Shame on the so called "justice" system and the judge who oversaw the case. Karma really is a bitch and Ortt, DeAngelus and his killer son, as well as the judge will all find out.

We are fairly new to Ocean Pines- 2 years. I am appalled at how the local authorities have handled this case. It is clear both Ralph and Matt know the truth, yet both have chose to stay silent. I suggest we silence their businesses.
