It’s already too expensive

I would request HOA to consider scaling back on the events and reallocate funds to incidents like this.

Stongly condemn this proposal to increase HOA dues. Use the existing budget wisely instead of keep raising the dues.

I would like hoa funds relocated rather than raising my hoa dues because of vandalism in the park.

This is what happens when incompetent people end up on the board. They can't be bothered to consider any other option than throwing money at the problem. They probably don't even live here, or exempt themselves from the dues (we should probably find out). Regardless, this is solvable in 5 seconds. Stop planting so many flowers and hiring 500 db leaf blowers at sunrise. Stop hosting events that people outside of the community can hijack. Stop summoning 10,000 food trucks at the same time (instead of spreading them out). Reallocate THAT money to get thermal cameras for the park and other critical areas. Set the camera feeds up on a closed community web portal so we can all see it live. Also, instead of having our cops waste their valuable time trying to catch people going 25.1 mph at the roundabouts, ask them to patrol the areas that are actually getting vandalized. No one is going to be smashing rocks with a cop nearby. Or, best case scenario, dissolve non-resident seats on the board, it's not like the collective intelligence or competency gets any higher with more members, especially those who are non-residents.

Developers - Please learn to be more fiscally responsible by reallocating funds instead of increasing dues. You're not going to sell more homes with higher HOA dues. Also, when repairing vandalism, maybe consider materials that are not as easily damaged. Thank you!

Make the city pay for the damages, it’s a public park. It’s not owned by the Ten Trails homeowners and our HOA dues should not be used for this purpose.

The budget needs some reallocation and vandalism should be a line item along with security patrols.

Homeowners should not have their HOA dues being used to pay for the vandalism that occurs at a PUBLIC park.

Do not increase dues

Or create a committee that will explore options that prevent increased vandalism. Throwing more money at the repairs is not the sustainable solution.

I Strongly condem home owners being penalized. Already the HOA costs are too high for the benefits gained.

Please do not increase our dues, please hear the residents and offer alternatives before deciding this unfavorable ultimatum

Another option is using perennial plants vs annual plants so they don’t have to be replaced seasonally.

Actions should be taken to identify areas we can cut back within our current budget, and reallocate those funds toward vandalism. It is not a reason expectation to continue raising fees and not looking for ways that can be covered under our current budget. Inflation is causing additional financial strain on most people, and the solution cannot always be to raise prices. There are plenty of areas we can make cuts, such as events and flowers. Make responsible financial decisions based on the majority, not the few.

I moved into Ten Trails almost five years ago and since then the HOA has increased almost $200 per quarter…that’s almost $800 each year. Now increasing again due to vandalism at a public park?

Increasing dues for vandalism is unfair!

I sent HOA a long email about how much I disagree with raising our dues. I’d rather not repeat myself here but it’s completely unacceptable to just see raising dues as the solution when there are countless other ways to allocate funds from what we already pay!
