I hate what the town I grew up in is becoming. Downtown is littered with horrific looking apartment complexes. Now you want to take away drink specials at our favorite watering holes? Ridiculous!

The ordinance has good meaning behind it but the negatives absolutely outweigh the positives here

This ban will effectively eliminate charity pub crawls. Definitely what you would unexpect.

I dont know why you would try to kill a bars business by doing this especially ones who make most of their income and business from their drink specials for years and have them as a staple for their bar.

This ordinance wouldn't help fix whatever issue the city council is trying to solve. It will severely hurt businesses and what culture is left downtown.

Adults are capable of making their own decisions regarding alcohol consumption. This will not reduce drinking, it'll only hurt small businesses. Haven't we learned anything from the Prohibition Era?

Telling businesses what prices to charge for their products is anticapitalist and un-American. If you earnestly believe this is a health issue then why not also put price minimums on things that contribute to heart disease, like eggs, cheese, or red meat. Also that link is scientifically well-established. You have NO SCIENTIFIC DATA to back up this ridiculous nanny state policy.
