Fix the potholes, broken lights and make the downtown sidewalks accessible, then we can talk about regulating the main thing paying the taxes that fund this poorly run town

I don’t drink. However if this passes I will vote against whoever votes for it next election. Fix the roads, fund the schools, increase first responders’ pay all things which need more attention this drink specials.

Nothing that bars or restaurants are doing is illegal. Please focus on things that are degrading our community like vagrants on the streets approaching people for money and trying to sell drugs

Do not sign the proposed ordinance into law. It offers no benefit to the public and creates unnecessary costs in enforcement.

As a local business woman I support local businesses and this petition is supporting local entertainment entrepreneurs. I am for this petition against this regulation.

Instead of wasting time on a frivolous ordinance that will be randomly enforced, I would much prefer the city pay attention to the gun play in town and make Columbia a safer place to live!!! Why is the City of Columbia not addressing shots fired and people being shot or killed.
It must be easier to pick on tax paying businesses. Shame on you Columbia for pandering to a group of people that don’t happen to like something that I do.
To the group that is behind the ordinance, get a grip!

The city is already crying about lost sales tax revenue from online sales and this looks like a recipe to loose even more revenue. A lot of bars confiscate fake ID’s but the city refuses to prosecute people that use them.
We need to remember this band aide ordinance and vote out city council members that support this agenda at election time

The City has no place or the right to regulate someone's legal business. The businesses purchase the required licenses to operate their business and now the City thinks they have the right to get into the financials of the business. We need to know what your cost is so we can regulate how much you can or cannot charge? This is so wrong and a complete overreach of their responsibilities.

If they do this to bars then they should have to do this to every restaurant that offers any kind of food special. It is only fair.

My busy friends in our 30s appreciate the late night specials, it’s what we do to catch up and in no way is for anything dangerous. This is the market this ordinance would impact. Unbelievable

We need more local business owners to be able to make decisions themselves. Local government should respect free enterprise and stop trying to regulate everything!
