The purpose of this petition is to demand that the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell be televised. Highly placed elected leaders in the United States, wealthy power brokers and other world leaders have been implicated in the known sex trafficking of children.
The implications are these allegations are far reaching as they address the very nature of the operation of our governments. If there were conspiracies, cover-ups, "favors" or the use of blackmail as a result of child sex trafficking, then the world needs to know.
We deserve total transparency, and justice can only be served by total and open disclosure of facts that will be revealed by this trial.
The trial will be held in New York state, in the United States. New York is one of only 7 states where cameras are legally barred from courtrooms. Our goal is to force Governor Cuomo and the New York legislature to rescind this ban.
This is a non-partisan effort. Politics has no place in the trafficking of children.

It looks like this was deliberately held in a state where the government could find a reason to justify banning the public to have access. Move it to another state or change your laws for this trial.
This should be transparent so the public has the primary information. The problems today are largely because the People don't like being lied to. We can take it.
These children lived and died horribly the least we can do is acknowledge it. Their stories need telling. Bring them justice.

I think , having watched both the Rittenhouse trial and that of the men accused of murder in Georgia, that the people have the right to watch. There are many nuances involved in what the judge allows and doe not.
