The residents of Teddington Park Road are urgently requesting an extension of the CPZ to cover the households from 97 to 129

In a recent poll, conducted by the council, before the summer - of the 32 households covered by this new CPZ, 16 voted for and this petition is to seek formal approval from the council by obtaining the approval of 17 of these 32 households for an overall majority.

Please be aware that the council methodology for the calculation of a majority is for any uncast votes to be considered "against" - rather than as an abstention - which means 17+ households need to positively vote in favour - and we have one final chance to achieve that overall majority.

If you want to avoid our road being blocked and congested, finding it awkward turning into Teddington Park Road when going to or from Twickenham/Kingston or having your wing mirrors clipped and car scratched - please sign this petition TODAY - and PLEASE ask all your neighbours to sign the petition too?

Many thanks

Updates

September 30, 2016

I was just out looking at the street and it is so incredibly tight with all these extra cars parked everywhere right now. It gets so stressful trying to dodge wing mirrors when I am just trying to pull into my own driveway but maybe if we keep pushing on this we can finally get the council to see reason about the way they count those votes.

It is absolutely essential that the Council extends the CPZ to the remainder of the road. Parking is difficult enough already during peak times and leaving part of the road out of the zone will make matters considerable worse for the occupants of the area not included in the CPZ. Between Monday and Friday it's really hard/impossible to find free parking space near our place. Having a small baby and shopping bags to carry home, it makes me feel disappointed that I need to park on another road or far from where we live just so people who don't live here can comfortably use our parking space. Permit residence parking is a great idea that we do support!

With the CPZ being introduced into some of Teddington Park Road and surrounding roads in Feb 2017, the cars without permits will then be squashed down into the 25% that will be without the restrictions. As a resident at this end of the road (#121), I would strongly urge the council to reconsider and extend the CPZ to the WHOLE of Teddington Park Road.

Yes am in full agreement with Chatsworth Place being included and want it from 8.30 - 5.30pm min to stop to teachers and parents from the School who use it to park and drop off /pick up their kids Mon - fri causing noise and congestion in a very small cul de sac. We have been in constant contact with the school who do ask parents to refrain from doing this (but don't seem to ask their teachers not to park there all day!) On occasion, some parents and have become verbally abusive when being politely asked to stop blocking residents cars.

I agree with the extension of the CPZ to include Chatsworth Place, also I would like to see that the time period be extended to include the hours 08.00 – 16.30 Monday to Friday. This will stop people parking in Chatsworth Place during a very busy time when residents are try to leave to go to work and are impeded by parents dropping off students for the local schools and collage. One day there will be a serious accident with injuries to pedestrians and possible drivers. 9 Chatsworth Place, TW11 8NQ
