Of all the professions this the one that mostly deserves to have a 25 years service system. Very few actually remain in teaching for the whole career since it is one of the most mentally exhausting jobs! This will also help attract students to be attracted to this career as a forced leave in summer is not such an attractive package anymore!

For those who have already completed the 25 years, there should be a phasing out system.

I can't imagine an LSA of certain age running after/ handling certain cases we are facing in schools.

Teaching in class is very tiring especially now that we have mixed classes and very arrogant students. I have been teaching for 31 years and it is a great struggle for me at 56 to keep up with such stressful situations with full classes and a full load. it is taking a toll on my health as my blood pressure rises after dealing with bad behaviour of students. Giving 25 years of one' s life to give a future to hundreds of people is a lot let alone 31 years and more. At times I feel like resigning but I cannot do so as it will affect my pension

After five years of teaching, I am already exhausted, both physically and mentally!
