Our current Superintendent of Talbot County has been working in her current position for eight years. We the parents putting this petition together feel she is over paid and currently not working in the best interest of our children. The Superintendent is not willing to make herself or direct staff accountable for their actions against students and staff. As a direct result of her blatantly disregarding her duties several students and teachers have been physically, mentally, and emotionally harmed. In at least one instance the death of a child occurred and several teachers being physically attacked leaving them disabled for life. We feel if the Board members or Superintendent were accessible to the parents when problems arose these would not have escalated to the point of no return. The Superintendent did not show any remorse or compassion for these events. Her own personal political ways are harming our comunity as a whole. At this time we the parents feel someone willing to hold the position to a higher standard and be willing to hold themselves accountable would be more suited for the position. Don't allow her to scar Another individual. Help us to force her resignation / dismissal and give a more suitable person the chance to correct what she has allowed our school system to become.
