The public announcement confirms that taxpayers will not be responsible for covering these personal legal costs. This outcome reflects a necessary commitment to fiscal accountability and personal responsibility. I appreciate the time each of you took to register your position on this matter.

Not only is it a tragedy that the ice rink project at the old aud site is not complete, but the three people responsible, Sam Hoyt, Tom Dee and Mark Smith are facing a lawsuit against them as individuals for defamation and tortious interference of contract. If you don't think your tax dollars should be used to pay for their legal fees, please sign this petition. If you think they should have to pay for their own legal fees, please sign this petition.

It is not taxpayer responsibility to pay legal fees if a public employee commits a crime or fraud against taxpayers. Thier own actions are thier own responsibilities.

Taxpayers in WNY suffer plenty already. Corruption is a big factor. And it's our money that's being wasted.

Do not allow these men to go unpunished, and let them use their own moneys to defend their illegal actions. it is not fair to the taxpayers of this community to have to pay for the legal defense of these good-for-nothing "criminals".

Why are tax payers paying for them? I want to take Albany Dems to court about putting UnAuthorized peoples in a class above Citizens. I hope the county clerks will.
