The residents of University HIlls do not want to finance a lawsuit against a fellow neighbor. Drop the lawsuit and disclose how much neighborhood money has been spent on the lawsuit (rumor is it is over $25,000 and growing every day). No one wants to be responsible for a HUGE legal bill. Litigation can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is bad for the reputation of the neighborhood and everyone's property values.

Furthermore, the trustees have put a lien on the homeowners property and are demanding they pay their attorneys fees. Their behavior is outrageous and not in the best interest of the neighborhood. Please sign this petition to demand an immediate dismissal of this lawsuit.

Updates

October 24, 2017

The trustees continue to ignore our inquiries regarding the total legal expenditures incurred thus far. We are now preparing a formal request for a full accounting of all neighborhood funds used in this litigation. Transparency is necessary for the financial health of our community.

I can understand needing to establish precedent that indentures need to be followed, but the family clearly acted in good faith. A retroactive variance is the obvious solution, not a costly and counterproductive lawsuit.

Community, that’s what we are. This lawsuit doesn’t represent what the community wants. There has to be a non-litigious remedy for this situation. Please work towards a solution that allows a wonderful family to continue to enjoy U Hills.

Wow there are about 30 other items I could think of in the neighborhood where $25,000 would be spent much better. Sounds like the trustees have a large ego and and would like to tear down a beautiful garage that only improves the property value of the neighborhood. I’m disgusted that my family is being represented by this type of person.

Any lawsuit should not be funded by subdivision but rather person wanting to sue

Drop the lawsuit now. Let’s have a neighborhood meeting to resolve this issue. This is not good for the neighborhood

I do not support the trustees in their decision to bring suit against the homeowner.
