By opening a parlor in Lincolnton, we could decrease the amount of unsterile conditions in which people are getting tattooed and additionally increase the revenue to our local establishments. By opening a clean, reputable establishment, we could promote the arts and help take away some of the negative stigmas associated with the art of tattooing.
Surrounding counties, such as Gaston and Catawba, have multiple tattoo studios. However, for individuals residing in Lincoln County, they are required to drive the extra distance and perhaps acquire additional costs as a result of the lack of options for tattoos in our county. Additionally, those surroundings counties reap the benefits of additional revenue; revenue that could be re-funneled back into Lincoln County.
In the past, tattoo studios carried a stigma of drug-fronting, unlawful biker gangs, and anti-religious establishments. I am seeking the opportunity to change this stigma and creat an up-scale establishment that promotes art in a positive manner.
Art is my passion. It has been a driving force throughout my life. It has allowed me to create a healthy outlet that has kept me out of trouble throughout my youth. I would love to have the opportunity to promote my art in a positive way in my hometown.
Tattoos can be therapeutic and emotionally and psychologically healing. Through the covering of scars from the past or as a memorial of a loved one or lost pet. It can assist in healing inner wounds and help people move forward, allowing them to finally let go of their past trauma.

I'm from Lincolnton and I remember back in the late 90s a tattoo shop was put in Denver but the people voted him out. He probably wasn't there 6 months. Tattoos are a personal choice and if folks don't like it then don't go there to get one. Others should be able to support local business.
Would LOVE this!! With over 20 tattoos and more to come I would like to be able to go 10-15 mins away instead of an hour. We NEED a local tattoo studio in Lincolnton. It would draw in a lot of business with people who would also shop here before and after. All around great for our town.
A tasteful sterile environment for tattoo services would be wonderful for Lincolnton. At the moment, locals are venturing to Gaston, Catawba, and Mecklenburg counties for these services. Bring Lincolnton up to date with the service available locally!
If we can have street preachers screaming, judging, and calling people whores and sinners at our family festivals surely there can be some room for a tattoo parlor.
I have seen the work of Lance Herman. Top notch. Lincolnton should have a reputable sanitary tattoo parlor. Draw people into the city not force them out of town to spend money in other places. Bring the money into the town!!
100% should have one...it seems like the people that run this town want to keep allowing more and more people to move here but don't want to allow businesses to open up...I wonder why?...
It would definitely be appreciated!

I have 4 tattoos. If you saw me in public you would never know. I support this form of self expression and having a legal business is imperative for safety.
