Tara Community Opposition of New Apartment Buildings

This area does not have the infrastructure to support the increasing population as it is. I waited 6 months to get a dental appointment, 3 months to see a primary care physician and have had to go to the emergency room because I couldn’t get an appointment with a physician. The traffic is horrendous as it is. Greed has taken over. Hundreds of apartments are currently being built in Manatee County. Rents are going up significantly and I question whether people will be able to afford them. We may end up with hundreds of vacant units. STOP the apartment explosion!!

I oppose this construction due to current serious traffic violations and speeding on Tara Blvd and Stone River Road

Please vote no on the rezoning.

I strongly oppose the addition of the proposed apartments. This is a long established neighborhood with privately owned homes or condos. We purchased in Tara for that specific reason.

In addition to the listed opposing views, I posit another. Where would pre school children be schooled? Tara Elementary is full and there is a waiting list.

I am firmly against this proposal as both Tara Boulevard and the neighboring roads cannot safely support the additional traffic which this development would attract

Bad idea

I OPPOSE the construction of the proposed apartment building in our community because of density, flood water, traffic, compatibility, and height concerns. I, along with my neighbors intend to vigorously oppose this type of construction in our Tara Community and wish for the Manatee County Board of Commissioners to vote against this project to preserve the integrity of the Tara DRI plan and my best interest as a homeowner. Apartments at this location are inconsistent with the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan as written.

Not necessary to build there, it will reduce our property values.

I oppose the apartment complex on Tara Blvd near SR70. The traffic is already congested near I75 and an additional potential 350 more cars would be a nightmare. There are plenty of vacant lots available on SR70 W that can be used for this complex. Not Tara Blvd.

Traffic on Tara Blvd is already out of control. Do not add unwanted apartments.
