Tara Community Opposition of New Apartment Buildings

Apts would create an awfull traffic issue on Tara Blvd which is already a accident waiting to happen.

Traffic is a constant. Especially as the season begins to pick up. A 156 unit development and more importantly a 300 space area means another 300 cars added to an over used road system. Couple that with an antiquated infrastructure and you are almost guaranteeing severe problems will follow.

In addition to all the previous well-considered and presented concerns about the violations of building codes and concern for drainage and flood issues, there is already a danger to drivers in the portion of Stone River Road that runs along Ashley Oaks properties. Should the egress be onto Stone River Road across from north end of Drewry’s Bluff, there will be fatal accidents. Already the line of sight is poor at that point due to the curve in Stone River Road. Cars race along that stretch of road, then sometimes quickly turn onto Drewry’s Bluff at dangerous speeds to avoid the traffic light on Tara Blvd. At times cars are backed up at that traffic light 7 deep. This egress location is a tragedy in the making. Who in their right mind would approve such a plan?

adding this type and number of residences to the area will create even more severe traffic issues and make the roads which are already dangerous even worse

I am strongly opposed to allowing this apartment building to be built. It exceeds the Tara height limit and will drastically alter the country club atmosphere.

Project violates building restriction. Traffic would be highly negatively impacted in the entire area. The only one to benefit would be the builder.

I am opposed to the multi family dwelling at Tara. Our roads are dangerous with the amount of traffic we experience prior to season and worse during season. I do not see enough provision for the trash to be maintained. More disruption of our wetlands and flora fauna will only increase the temperature. The traffic corner at Tara Blvd and St Rd 70 is a death trap. There is no where for additional traffic to move.

This project violates area building restrictions. The location is not conducive to additional vehicle traffic, ingress/egress. Project would require the removal of hundreds of trees. Water mitigation issues Etc.

Against, far to much traffic already and another project was approved by Linger Lodge which will add several hundred vehicles down Tara Blvd.

I'm opposed to the construction of a multi-building apartment complex on an area that is already heavily trafficked. There are also drainage and flood concerns as well as height concerns.

The congestion on Tara Blvd. is getting out of hand . We don’t need more apartments to add to the problems.

Th proposal is entirely in contradiction to the benefit of the Tara community. It would grossly overstretch the infrastructure to the detriment of all residents in the surrounding area.

Tara is no place for an apartment complex. The roads are crowded enough now. Please vote down the apartment application.

Tara "Preserve" & Development was designed & created by the original developers in conjunction with Manatee County & Florida State mandates to be developed parcels of land for residential & a portion for allocated & approved commercial properties!! A certain % of land was to be left undeveloped as per Federal land development mandates-leaving a certain % of said land to remain as Preserve land (for ecological benefitted purposes)! Building a Multi-Unit Apart Complex is against the way TARA Preserve already developed Land & remaining %'s of undeveloped land was intended & stipulated originally by the County & State land uses!!!
