Every female student struggles with the burden of the period! The once a month headache has been plaguing females since the beginning of maturity and paying for products to help cope with it does not help at all. College is a time where students have a lot to worry about. Let us help our females worry less by giving out free tampons at our health centers and women bathrooms. If we can give out free condoms to protect us from something we have the choice to do, let us give out free tampons to help students from something they do not have the choice over.

This is incredibly important, along with education on menstruation alternatives such as menstrual cups! However, the call to action for your petition has a lot of cis-sexist language as it's not just females who menstruate. They're are also plenty of people who identify as women that do not menstruate.

If the school will supply toilet paper they should supply tampons. Both are of equal necessity

If males can get free condoms, or free male enhancement medication, why are females not provided with free period products? Sex is a lot easier to avoid than a period.

Feminine products can be extremely expensive and just as condoms are handed out to students , I believe so should feminine hygiene products.

"A period is a biological function of a woman that she does not have the power to control. The average woman endures some 456 total periods over 38 years, or roughly 2,280 days with her period — 6.25 years of her life. The average amount of money a woman spends on her period in a lifetime is $18,171. That is roughly $7,000 more than what it costs to attend [FSU] for a full semester. If a university is able to give out free condoms for a biological function that is 100% controllable, then there is nothing stopping them from giving out free pads and tampons."

If we have free condoms why not free tampons? You can stop yourself from having sex, Mother Nature shows no mercy.
