I think being abused by a domestic partner who is also a police officer is especially scary because of the comrodery within the force. The person being abused may feel like they have no where to turn for help.
I also think that officers are particularly vulnerable to becoming abusers because of the violent nature of their jobs. They say abusers are violent because of insecurity. I can see how police officers could become both afraid after their experiences at work and to quell those fears, try to controll their partner at home.

I feel so very sorry for these children, this should never have happened , especially at the hands of someone who is suppose to serve and protect. So many women and children should not fall victims from abusive hands. God see this family through this difficult time.
