We, the undersigned, urge Royal Mail and the Government to abandon its closure plans for the following SIX Post Offices in Tameside: 1) Edge Lane PO, Droylsden; 2) Market Street PO, Droylsden; 3) West End PO, Ashton-under-Lyne; 4) Denton Road PO, Audenshaw; 5) Cheetham Fold PO, Hyde; and, 6) Mottram Road PO, Stalybridge. TWENTY-FOUR Post Offices have closed in and around Tameside since 1999. Enough is Enough. Instead, we urge Royal Mail and the Government to support the current network in Tameside, by shelving these proposals and seeking a way forward that will allow the current network to continue to act as one of the bedrocks in our communities into the long-term future.
