• BECAUSE Alabama has more freshwater plant and animal species that any other state in the country, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE, despite our abundant biodiversity, Alabama has one of the highest rates of extinction of any place in the country, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE I value the ability to fish, boat, and swim in clean water, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE Pollution is harmful to me, my family, and my community, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE our government must be held accountable for protecting our water, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE enforcement of our water laws is currently not good enough, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE Alabama deserves sustainable planning that ensures our rivers will flow for our children and grandchildren, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE the waters of this state belong to all the people of this state, I will Defend Rivers.
• BECAUSE Water is Life, I will Defend Rivers.

We need to keep our water clean for the fishing. tired of seeing all the trash when i take the boat out on the weekend.
