I will defend my home… a way of life.
I will fervently protect the wetlands, marshes and beaches of America’s Gulf Coast.
I demand investing in the infrastructure of America’s Energy Coast while protecting the fragile ecosystem in which it cohabitates.
I will support the seafood and tourist industries of the Gulf Coast and frequent businesses that do the same; ensuring that this - a way of life… my way of life will survive and flourish to be enjoyed by generations to come.

I have been thinking a lot about the marshes lately and how they just keep vanishing despite everything we say or do. People have been sending me the most heartbreaking stories about their own homes and I am trying to keep up with all the messages while figuring out how to get this in front of someone in charge who actually cares.

I was just staring at the screen and realized how many people actually feel this deep connection to our marshes and that just puts such a lump in my throat because it has been such a long road to get people to see the value in our home. It feels like the tide is finally turning for the Gulf and I keep thinking about all the families who rely on this water and how we are actually building something real here together.

Grew up on these beaches and it breaks my heart to see them neglected like this. Leave the coast better for my kids.
My family has been in the gulf for generations. Dont let this way of life die out just because of greed.
The gulf is hurting and we cant just sit back and watch it happen anymore. Fix it now.
we need to balance the energy industry with saving our wetlands. it is not that hard to do if they actually cared.
