The screw, which was supposed to come out 3 months after surgery, is protruding so far out into the skin that it's causing other issues including torn tendons, migraine headaches, and hip pain.
Doctors would operate immediately if insurance will approve it.

It’s amazing that Elle has been able to function this long, traveling and coaching, with this screw practically breaking the skin. What the hell is wrong with you lot? Take out the screw.
Proper medical care means Take out the screw. Would you leave it in if it were your daughter?
If it should have been taken out already, why wouldn't insurance approve it now? Just do it.
She needs this out ASAP so she can work and continue doing her fantastic community building. We need her in action!

Wow how sad it comes to this. It’s a medical emergency, and I thought insurance would pay for something like that.
