we actually did it, fina is officially opening up the masters category to men. i cant believe how far weve come and im so grateful for everyone who signed this to prove the sport is ready for change. now we just have to make sure we keep showing up for …
For many years, men have not been allowed to participate in synchronized swimming international competitions. It is time for a change! Just as it is in figure skating, it is possible to have both men and women enjoy competing in this sport together. If FINA accepts to start at the masters level, where there are more men in the sport, this may be a big step forward in synchro. So to all of the synchro lovers out there, please join us. Our goal is to have mixed categories at future FINA World Masters.
A man and a woman complement each other so beautifully, a contrast to the attempt to match two females like me and my shadow. Male and female naturally leads to more complex lines and forms, and dramatic expressions of power and grace. Please allow it.

My sons goal is to participate in dutch national championship. To bad this is currently the highest possible goal for him. Hope this petition helps to change that.

My coach is really passionated about synchronised swimming. He's talented and devoted to the sport but can't compete because he's a man. Is that fair? I don't believe so. Please change those rules. Me, as a woman, I am against those rules.Thank you for your support!

It's time to change! Men are the other side of synchro....what we are really missing and we need to grow and have much more public and also media-appeal!!!

This would be an incredible addition the sport of synchronized swimming. As someone who was part of a mixed pairs duet for many years, this is an important and needed change for the sport.

Bill May has been an inspiration to me since I was 8 years old! As a young synchronized swimmer for the Santa Clara Aquamaids I always looked up to him. He is an amazing athlete and spectacular synchronized swimmer! I don't see why he shouldn't be able to compete in international competitions because of his gender! Good luck! USA!!
