As a fellow student (of another school) I will gladly support this cause. Just because education is important doesn't mean that it's a good reason to risk your or other's health.

Very scary situation, anywhere from 1-14 people can contract the virus from a single host and alot of students dont wash their hands after bathroom usage.

There’s a large portion of students that come from chicago to our school and with multiple confirmed cases in Chicago it’s a hazard to be going to school at this point. People with auto immune diseases like chrons or hiv/aids would be at risk of possible death if confirmed cases started happening in macomb.

This is THE BEST time to make this transition. My child's health is my number 1 concern...and students will be traveling back from across the state/country after this break is over.
Within 2 weeks...there WILL be an outbreak on campus. Science and logic show that. AND the dorms are petri dishes for ANY illness...especially one as invasive as this!! Make the smart choice WIU...allow online attendance.

Why should we risk letting our children go back to school and get sick?? Then we are stuck paying hospital and doctor bills while paying tuition

This needs to happen in order to prevent The virus from overtaking our student population.

Waiting until a dozen or more students/staff test positive for COVID-19 means waiting until it's too late.

Even Monmouth College has extended their spring break. What else has to happen before WIU will do the same?
