The purpose of the MVU is to eliminate unnecessary roads on USDA Forest Service land. Not to eliminate access to longstanding and legal activity on USDA Forest Service land. Please do the right thing and keep this critical access road open to those enjoying recreation on USDA Forest Service land.

Locations that are conducive to free flight due geographic terrain featured facing into prevailing winds and microclimate conditions do not set up in many locations and access to these sites should be preserved. The Forest Service and other agencies in many other locations have work with the Free Flight community to preserve and maintain access to other similar sites. The Sweetwater Launch above Burcham Flat should be added to the Motor Vehicle Use map or otherwise remain accessible.
