Whereas Susan Vlcek, Karla Robinson and Bill Grenfell, members of the Medina City School Board wrongly voted to spend taxpayer money on an excessive salary and benefits package for Randolph Stepp And whereas the aforementioned school board members wrongly voted to approve administrative spending far over and above what would be considered normal and necessary in a financially strapped school district and have admitted to these wrongful actions And whereas a lack of transparency and other actions have created a breach of trust between the community and said school board members And whereas the continued presence on the board of two of those school board members who are not up for re-election in November has created and continues to foster a negative attitude toward the school board – and skepticism concerning its capability to meet the challenges before us – which in turn, is detrimental to school district efforts to pass a levy, thus eroding the district’s ability to properly educate the students of Medina Consider my signature below a vote of no confidence and a call for board members Susan Vlcek and Karla Robinson to immediately step down from their positions in order to allow the voters in November to choose new board members, and to allow the process of regaining trust to begin as a prerequisite to voting for a school levy
