I may not live in Watertown any more, but I AGREE, that people who have an addiction problem, need a place to go in Watertown, so their families can be there and receive help also.

Lena Parker In my profession I spend a lot of time trying to find the proper care for people who suffer from addiction. Most of the time when they have walked into my office they have reached their breaking point. We need a facility in Watertown to help those who don't want to go 70 to 100 miles away to get treatment.

I have lost a few loved ones from drug addiction. My husband went to treatment but wasn't allowed to stay because of the insurance company. This is a epidemic here in watertown. We need help here.

There are things that can be done it is just the point if our town actually prioritizes the lives of our citizens rather than ignore the fact that we have a serious problem and there is nowhere for these people to turn. What few services that are available are not enough. I do hope to see more done and for all of the people who want and need help to receive it.

So true. I've watched my bestfriend fight the battle & it's sad to say I sleep better at night when she's in jail/prison knowing that she'll actually wake up in the morning. Too many beautiful souls lost to something not so beautiful. "Credo" does nothing for people there has to be some other kind of help this place can offer. I hope this actually gets somewhere.

Our city has been plagued by an epidemic of drug use. Heroin, meth, and prescription drug abuse has a great impact on our community. We have nothing to offer those who suffer from the disease of addiction who want to get clean. If we could provide some inpatient services in our community, there would at least be a possibility of reducing the number of deaths and crime in our area. There has got to be something we can do as a community to help slow this problem down. I believe this is a step in the right direction.

Sadly the drug epidemic is out of control right now.... It's stealing our youth away from us. This cities daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers are being stolen from our futures this cities future. It's affecting all walks of life the poor, the rich, the educated, the uneducated. It's creeping into all of our neighborhoods not just the "bad" parts of town. When is it going to be addressed??? When are we going to stop making these people criminals and start seeing them as human beings who deserve a chance at life!?!? There are no where near enough services, counselers, rehabs, in our city! The ones we do have are completely overwhelmed and are at their max limits. Help should always be available to anyone who reaches out for it right then and there. You don't tell an addict who wants to get clean you have to wait two months and jump thru all these hoops to get help... They get discouraged they give up!!! I know how ungodly frustrating it is to watch your loved one dying right in front of your face and you've made all the phone calls you could and now you wait... Just wait for a bed to open up or the insurance To approve it... It's ridiculous we need help before its to kate
