I have been staring at these local budget reports all night and honestly the math just does not add up in terms of public safety. It feels like phones are ringing off the hook at the offices of our officials and yet the silence from them is just so loud right now. Hopefully they realize we are not actually going to stop paying attention because our neighborhood is worth the effort.

Jersey City is getting way to dangerous lately. We need more cops not less. Leave the department alone.
Keep our streets safe. Simple as that.
My family lives downtown and we are constantly worried about crime. How can they cut the force?
Ridiculous! We pay enough in taxes already. Send the cops back out on the street.
Total madness. The crime rate is already going up and they want to cut the people stopping it. Get it together JC!!!!!

Stop playing games with our safety. The JCPD does a great job and they deserve our support.
