I am a parent, professional, volunteer or member of the local community who believes that St Piers Sure Start Children's Centre plays an important part in supporting children under five and their parents in my area. I want to register my strong opinion that this Centre should be allowed to continue its work and should not be forced to cut services or staff. This Centre is a much needed community resource for all parents but is especially needed for those parents who may be suffering deprivation, financial hardship, relationship breakdown, social isolation, domestic abuse, depression, or whose children may be disabled, ill , have special educational needs or belong to an ethnic minority group. The services that this Centre and its partner agencies provide, enable local parents to access informed advice and support including; access to Health Visitors,health services, first aidI.T. and parenting classes, play opportunities, new parent groups, Dads Club, Toy Library and outreach services.
To lose any of these services would have a negative impact on parents and their children.I urge those making budget decisions in Surrey, to maintain and support this Children's Centre.

I have been hearing so many stories from families who rely on these services to get through the week. Your signatures are showing the decision makers that this place is a lifeline for us, so I am busy preparing our formal case to present at the next budget hearing.

Seeing this groundswell of support for St Piers feels like a lifeline for all the local families who rely on these doors staying open. It is clear that our community refuses to let these essential services be stripped away from the children who need them most.

A great place to go for advice and support. Provides a vital service for the area, with both staff and other members playing an important role in providing reassurance to new parents.
Fantastic facilities offered by sure start. As a new mum it is a vital resource to get out and also check I am doing ok with my baby
The centre has helped me so much in gaing my confidence in many areas of being a mum. Its an important part of so many people's lives. The staff go over and above to make you feel supported and listened too. So many would be lost without it.

The staff at St peirs has helped me put alot since my little one was born and the activities they have there provide good skills and gives parents a time to meet new people
Sure start has helped me out so much with my son and im hopping that they would be able to be there with me for my daughter when she is born they are so friendly and so lovely to have a part of my sons life.
