We, the undersigned, support Salty Brew, a local, community-focused coffee business in Karikari Peninsula. Recently, a few neighbors have expressed concerns and want to shut us down. We believe this would be a great loss to our community.
Salty Brew is more than just a coffee spot it’s a place where locals and visitors connect, a business that brings life to our area, and a hub that supports the community by providing quality coffee and friendly service. Many of you have told us how much you appreciate having us here, and now we need your support!

We have reached one hundred signatures which allows us to request a formal review from the local council. I am currently drafting the submission package to ensure our case remains legally sound during the upcoming zoning hearing.

Salty brew is the perfect spot to finish off after a day of fishing. It’s a shame about grinches up the road. Liam and Tash have made such a cool lil spot for the community and would hate to see it leave.
As a local permanent resident and rates payer in Tokerau Beach (Virtue Crescent) I enjoy having Salty Brews services available in the area and support having the business and it’s services available.
Salty Brew is an absolute haven on the peninsula! Myself and my children frequent it often for ice creams, homemade sweet treats and most of all coffee for this mama. Shutting it down would be such a loss to our community!
This is disappointing a select few people feel they have the right to stop people from providing for their family. I have friends who live in this street and have absolutely no problem with this business and the family operating it.
Liam and Tash are incredibly kind and generous people who provide an amazing service not often found in small towns of NZ . Losing Salty Brew would be a horrible stain on a growing community in Tokerau Beach .

I go to Salty Brew everyone I'm up from Auckland. It's literally better than any other place in the area. We get coffee. It's THE BEST real fruit ice cream. Please don't take away this valuable destination for visitors and locals alike. Thanks!

Salty Brew is such an asset to Tokerau. I love walking there in the mornings and meeting all sorts of people. I always end up having a great convo with people I’ve never met and have even made some friends. The family that run it are doing an amazing job. Will be sad if this place has to go.
