It has come to our attention as faculty and staff that Louise St-Laurent's contract at AUC has not been renewed and that her employment will be terminated this coming March. In addition to being shocked by the lack of professionalism exhibited by giving her just a few months notice, we the undersigned believe that Louise is a fundamental and necessary element of AUC and that failure to renew her contract represents a potentially costly lack of foresight. We urge that her contract immediately be extended by at least one year as this is in the interests of faculty and the institution at large.
