Rochelle is the main reason I got my AA and she was one of the only people who worked on campus who I trusted. She is an incredibly responsible, kind, caring, and strong person who is essential to Simon's Rock. Firing her is completely baffling to me - and is an enormous mistake on the college's part.

I was living off campus while Rochelle was an RD, and generally avoided members of campus life on principle, but I was impressed by the number of students who felt comfortable with Rochelle and truly trusted her. It’s beyond disappointing to see simons rock repeat patterns of how they treat employees who are actually supportive and helpful to students, while offering no information to justify these unreasonable terminations.

From our limited conversations, I remember Rochelle being very hard working and dedicated to her job and the students. She connected with everyone and made them feel welcomed always.

Rochelle was so kind and chill to me during my time at SRC. Her commitment and care for students is enormous!! She was so helpful when I was struggling with an uncomfortable living situation, and her presence in long dining hall brunch conversations was a delight. she deserves better than this!!

I wouldn't have stayed at this school for as long as I have if it wasn't for Rochelle. She is my home. She was an integral part to my development at SR and as a person in general. I don't know where admin thinks they'll find another like her, because there is no replacing RoDuff.

Rochelle cared more about Simon’s Rock students than I could even put into words. At an institution with so much collective trauma she always showed up to support us in a million ways. Imagining SR without Rochelle makes me feel sick.

This is horrifying to hear. Like so many others have said, Rochelle helped me through multiple crises (academic, personal, emotional) in ways that I will absolutely never forget. To say she went above and beyond feels almost like under-selling it.

Rochelle was compassionate and patient with me on one specific occasion where I felt my world was falling apart, even though we’d only met once or twice in passing before. She went out of her way to help me that day. Every subsequent interaction I had with her revealed a kind, empathetic, and honest individual that worked hard to support students in every way she possibly could. It would be a real shame for future and current SRC students to not have access to such a wonderful and trustworthy resource, especially during such a difficult and upsetting time. Moreover, someone so virtuous shouldn’t be subjected to immature treatment.

SR administration never considers the actual individuals they are affecting. What a shame. Rochelle has done so much for so many. I was once pumping gas an hour from campus and rochelle was on the other side of the pump bringing a student to the airport. Above and beyond commitment

Rochelle has been such a big support over my 4 years at Simon’s rock. She always makes all the students feel welcomed and like they have someone they can rely on and ask for support. Every time I needed someone to talk to or ask questions to she was always there.
