SRC needs to be accountable for their poor treatment of staff.

Shameful behavior to give someone 2 hours to move out. Cruel and inexcusable. If SRC wants alumni donations they will have to do better.

Rochelle Duffy has ALWAYS been a bright spot in our campus life and has always looked out for students interests. She is a wonderful and caring human being who does not deserve the treatment she had at the hands of this administration.

Rochelle always checked in, always listened, and always did her best to support me and all of us in Pibly, and so many of us around campus. Some of my earliest memories on campus are of her being there for students dealing with emotional distress or illness. I always felt safer knowing she was around. I’m devastated that this happened to her, and hope that something changes soon.

Alum (entered 2001). SRC should make its reasoning and position clear. Reasoned, informed debate is supposed to be part of the Simon's Rock experience. If SRC's position cannot withstand such clarity and discussion, the institution should revisit its decision.

This is very suspect and not a humane way to treat someone who has given so much to the college.

i have known Rochelle for almost 20 years at this point. Knowing her as well as i do, i have serious doubts that she would ever have taken any action which would merit such a sudden termination.

This is preposterous. I didn't think I could be more mad given that I'm currently living through a military coup with my fellow Burmese brothers and sisters getting murdered by fascist thugs left and right every day but you SRC have proven me wrong. I stand behind Rochelle 100%.

You can’t kick someone out in the middle of a pandemic. Do better next time. I’m disappointed.

Rochelle was one of the more memorable staff at SRC back in 1998-2000, I am touched to learn that she’s still such a wonderful support for students 20 years later. whoever prompted this wrongful termination should be held accountable.

She was always there to put her best foot forward in any way even if it wasn’t in her job description.

Rochelle is a star who goes above and beyond for students at SRC. We met after I graduated, and her care for students and the greater SRC community was apparent in every conversation we had. As an alum I am continually disappointed with the treatment of staff by SRC. This is a disgusting way to treat any employee. No one deserves to be evicted during a pandemic and have their job terminated abruptly and without cause.

Rochelle was the most valuable resource to me during my time at src. It was clear that she cared about me and my well-being, because of her actions- not just words. Her help extended way beyond her job requirements and I am very saddened by the way she is being treated now.

This breaks my heart. As with many students, Rochelle is an integral pillar in my Simon's Rock experience. For her incredible and irreplaceable contribution to the community to end in this way is unacceptable.

Tired of hearing about SRC trying its best to kill the people who keep their students alive. Pathetic tiny petty fiefdoms.

Simon’s Rock is actively engaging in firing practices that are illegal.

I am appalled by SR’s administrations apathy. Rochelle supported me silently and vocally my senior year; she made Pibly a safe space for everyone who entered those doors. Rochelle understood the intricacies and fragilities of students’ mental health at a campus such as SR. I am genuinely worried for the well-being of present and future Simon’s Rock students, given the absolute lack of care and consideration shown time and time again by admin at SR. Staff who genuinely care about student wellbeing are fired for doing their job (And Ro Duff went above and beyond), and it has to stop.
