If you live near Veterans Oasis park, please consider showing SUPPORT for Verizon Wireless adding a new cellular tower on the park grounds. This is a second attempt by Verizon to get this tower approved. Opposition won last time and we've suffered further degraded service these past two years.
With the recent growth in new homes and commercial properties in this area, the Verizon network has been greatly overloaded. In order to keep up with this growing demand, a new tower will need to be installed.
The tower will not only provide better service for the surrounding communities, but also assist Chandler PD with better emergency services as their Chandler Heights Precinct is shared with Veterans Oasis Park.
The proposed cellular tower will be disguised as an Eucalyptus Tree (55' - same size as a real medium sized tree). This is so it will not stand out as an eyesore to the surrounding communities and those enjoying the park.
The next meeting is October 5th @ 6:30pm, at the City of Chandler Environmental Education Center in Veterans Oasis Park.

Yes, we need a Verizon Cell Tower desperately... Live 2.5 miles from Veterans Oasis Park and we only have one (1) one bar of service. With WiFi, calls still drop 50% of the time. Our area needs a Verizon Cell Tower desperately!!!!
Absolutely essential. Beyond an inconvenience, the lack of a cellular signal prevents an important layer of safety to the community. In the event of accidents, collisions, safety of children, medical emergencies, etc., the inability to call for assistance may mean injury, community endangerment or loss of life.
This cell tower is an absolute necessity for the people living in or around layton lakes. I cannot make a single phone call without the use of wifi calling otherwise it is dropped within seconds. If the tower isn't built I will definitely reconsider who our provider is in the future.
Absolutely! We need this service booster - it not only will allow better service for Verizon customers but other competitor wireless providers as they share towers.
My business is suffering due to my terrible Verizon reception, which has deteriorated over the past 2 years. Please build this tower!
It's about time this gets approved. We pay an arm and a leg for our cell phone service and can't use it.

We need better cell service from Verizon! My husband and I both work out of the house and we can’t make or take cell calls that we need for our jobs. SO frustrating!
