Support Clinical Supervision for all Medical Social Workers

I support clinical supervision for social workers.

As a recent MSW graduate, I was hopeful to have an organization who supported my higher education, continue to support further licensing. It was such a disappointment to learn this organization does not offer continued support in the efforts of their social workers to obtain licensure. With more licensed SW, we are able to serve out patients more effectively.

I was fortunate to have received my clinical supervision from my previous SW Manager in Santa Clara (during personal time) and when I transferred to San Jose, the SW Manager at that time approved my seeking outside supervision. I have been licensed since 2019 and now able to provide clinical supervision to my peers, if that was allowed through our organization. The social work profession is such a valued asset in the hospital setting and it's so discouraging that our organization is not in support of making clinical supervision accessible to those who are interested in pursing licensure.

I need to earn my hours in supervision. It makes no sense that health organizations do not want licensed workers.

I am trying to earn my hrs. Please help!

I support our MSW colleagues to be able to get clinical supervision towards licensure.

I would appreciate the opportunity to receive clinical supervision toward my LCSW.

I feel very fortunate that I was able to get supervision here when I began 11 years ago and I have been shocked and frustrated that my newer colleagues have been met with barriers here. It should be a given.

Kaiser should want all of our Master's level Social Workers to further their skills and education. Kaiser should want all of their Social Workers who are eligible to maximize their potential and have the training and testing necessary to back up the NASW Code of Ethics in their work by becoming licensed. To not support our Social Workers in furthering their careers and skill set, Kaiser is doing a disservice to their organization.

Very interested in getting supervision for LCSW license.

I am a mixed race receptionist with a bachelors in nursing. I am hoping to continue in my career in this organization but have been jumping through hoops personally and professionally that has taken a toll on my mental health. This shouldn't be the same with our LCSWs; I hope that our providers are better represented and can be provided clinical supervision to better our system and our patients!!!

Providing clinical supervision is incredibly important in developing professionally and providing the highest possible care to patients.

It's a shame that Kaiser is not supportive of this.
