It should be standard that social workers who work in a setting with LCSWs have supervision made available as part of professional experience and contribution to the organization/patients.

I also obtained clinical supervision at Kaiser a few years ago and am now an LCSW. I am absolutely flabberghasted that this is even an issue. All Social Workers should have the opportunity to advance their careers, personal growth and options by becoming licensed.

I am an LCSW and fortunate enough to obtain my supervision hours at Kaiser LA 24 yrs ago. MSWs in Northern CA region should be afforded the same benefits.

Please help social workers get licensed so they can provide therapy and help to those who need it!

Clinical supervision is important for non-licensed and licensed social workers. It is detrimental for the clinician and providing the best service to our patients and families.

Folks receiving supervision is best for our employees and patients alike, a win-win.

I have been with Kaiser for 4 years. Most of my peers who graduated with me have their LCSW by now as they joined organizations that value social work career advancement. I am excited that Kaiser is now willing to extend that opportunity to their dedicated social workers.

It should be an option to get clinical supervision.

I don't understand why a petition is needed. Everyone should be able to obtain their LCSW at their place of employment.

I am in agreement that clinical supervision should be provided for not just a goal for licensure, but for ongoing support AND personal growth.

It was very difficult to obtain my clinical supervision. Something that should have taken two years took more like 5 years. People should be able to advance their careers and gain additional knowledge to improve their abilities.

Yes! I'm in agreement w/the need for clinical Supervision, especially when working in a hospital setting as I do. Further! To have to pay $100 per hr for Supervision that should be "FREE" is insulting and infuriating.

I now realize how lucky I was. I was clear at my job interview that I was expecting Clinical Supervision, and although it took months, he found someone who agreed to supervise me in my outpatient setting. I didn't realize this wasn't already an expectation of our employer. All ASWs should have that benefit.

It was appalling that Kaiser Hospital Santa Clara refused to provide supervision to most MSWs in the department for years ( or allow them to seek outside supervision) . Hopefully that’s no longer the case but I doubt it.

All agencies and hospitals should be required to provide supervision of ASWs.

It has been a disappointment to know that this organization does not support career advancement and that clinical supervision is not provided to MSW's even when it has been promised and managers have required employees to apply for an ASW prior to employment.
