Dear STEM Women of Color,
As you know, for the past 6 years, NSF has generously supported the STEM Women of Color Conclave. Today, we represent the largest gathering of women of color in the academic STEM disciplines in the nation.
Our current effort includes the development of a proposal to request additional funding from NSF. Featured in this proposal are uniquely-designed modifications and enhancements that are based on your participant feedback, and include: 1) a strategic partnership between the Society of STEM Women of Color, Inc. and Fielding Graduate University, and 2) the opportunity to earn continuing education credits in leadership studies.
Please, join us in this effort by demonstrating your support of the Conclave, and its proposed enhancements by electronically signing our petition. The petition will be available this week only.

The Conclave has been invaluable is so many ways...one example....because of the Conclave via the workshops, keynote speakers and most of all the participants, I have the courage to continue in academia.
The conclave has been so beneficial to me. The questions answered here were not answered at my own institution. I provided a safe space. The travel award I received was even more beneficial because many universities pay only if you present.
The Conclave has been a safe place for me to explore my past present and future as a woman of color in the academy. It continuation and enhancements will offer this same opportunity to the next generation of women of color in STEM.
The conclave has helped me throughout my junior career. Now, I'm transitioning to the next step and it will be great to have the extended professional development opportunities for promotion.
I fully support the Conclave. The Leadership Team and the community established through the Conclave have been critical in my success! This expanded focus on leadership development will definitely serve as a catalyst in increasing STEM women of color in academic leadership.
I support the Conclave as it represents a strong connection for women of color in academic STEM across the country.
I fully support the STEM Women of Color Conclave. This is one of the best things ever for women of color. The motivation, inspiration, readiness to go on, encouragement and the healing effects are better experienced, than described, and should be made available to every woman of color in STEM-impacted professions. It is a form of pro-active healing and building for future excellence for the expected contribution to national and global development agenda.

The STEM Women of Color Conclave has supported my continued growth as a Biology Professor. I would never have achieved this growth in academics as a minority female without the support and direction of the members of the conclave.
