My daughter was in her class last year. I was really impressed with her communication with the parents. Mia was so unenthusiastic about school and learning all year.

Instead of hiring outside for a new Riverside 4th grade teacher you should bring this teacher on! She is well liked around the community and knows Danvers school system Plus 4th grade curriculum.

Parents need to take a stand on who is teaching our kids & why they are “let go”.. seems as if students/parents loved her! Makes no sense!

All too common in Danvers. Admin changes are more than needed — certainly not faculty.

My daughter,Isabella, was one of the lucky kid that had Mrs Marques us a teacher at Highlands School She is amazing, caring, efficient and all the kids loves her. It is very sad that Danvers doesn’t recognized her value.

This is not a time to be losing teachers that are so loved by parents and teachers alike. We need our educators more than ever before this fall.

So disappointed to see this!!! Mrs. Marques was an incredible teacher for my son when she was at Highlands. She truly was a gift to Danvers and it would be tragic to lose a teacher like her!

Mrs. Marques was my daughters fourth grade teacher her first year at Highlands, my daughter will now go into 7th grade this fall. We Moved near the end of the school year, it was hard on her because she loved Mrs. Marques. Mrs. Marques, still to this day has been both our favorite teacher! Yes parents have a favorite too. She is an amazing teacher and when I saw she was no longer at Highlands but at Great Oak I thought to myself that Highlands will be missing out on the best teachers and Great Oak is gaining the best. I’ve never witnessed a teacher invest her time into her class the way she does. She’s always positive, so helpful, has a great personality, the only teacher my daughter has had since K that actually communicates with parents. The children of Great Oak will miss out on an amazing teacher if Mrs. Marques is not rehired, the parents as well, she sets the expectations high for how all teachers should be. My daughter still talks about her to this day, she still has the letter she wrote her when we were moving, she still has the shirt Mrs. Marques has all the kids in class sign for her, she still has all the letters from her classmates that Mrs. Marques set up for them to write to her. She goes above and beyond for her students. Do what is right Danvers, Mrs. Marques deserves better from this school board.

I know many parents that were very happy with Mrs Marques . To let her go with no notice is horrible. She deserves so much more .

Best teacher ever. Respected the kids and helped every child learn at the highest level. She pushed my daughter both Academically and helped her navigate socializing with other students.

Mrs Marques was my sons fourth grade teacher and made a huge impact on him. She has an ability to connect with the children that is rare. She is exactly what the children will need coming into such a uniquely challenging year to help put them at ease.

My daughter had Mrs Marques and she was by far her favorite teacher !!! She is such an amazing dedicated teacher !!! She is an asset to the Danvers Public School System ... please keep her !!!
