Petition to Keep Alexandra Marques as a Teacher in the Danvers School System

Mrs. Marques is one of those teachers who truly makes a difference is the lives of the students in her classes. She cares about each and every one of them and she is an asset that should not be let go! What a tragic loss for the students who wouldn’t get to experience her joy and passion for teaching.

Alex is a shining light for any student she guides!

Alex is an amazing teacher, loosing her would be a disservice to your community

Mrs. Marques is an incredible role model for our children and an exemplary teacher. She is the very best!

Alex Marques is a fantastic, engaging, kind and experienced teacher. Losing her would be a devastating loss for students, staff and the entire school system.

Thoughtful, creative and dedicated educator that is always working to improve her craft and sharing he experiences.

Her vivacity is contagious. It is sad to see a valuable teacher left with no explanation as to why her contract is not being renewed. She’s a gem whether she’s a member of the Danvers school system or not. However, Danvers should explain their decision to any and all teachers not being brought back on. Especially since they are currently hiring. She clearly is qualified to the highest regard for the job.

She is an absolutely wonderful teacher and a great person and amazing mom, friend, sister. What is wrong with Danvers??!!! Ifyou don’t take her back something is very wrong.

Mrs. Marques was instrumental in my daughters 2nd grade year, even more than just academically. Her innate use of social emotional learning in the classroom benefits each child uniquely. Whenever I would see her with her class, I would watch her in awe, as she captured the attention and respect of each and every child in a natural and respectful way.

As a family, we were shocked, confused and saddened to hear about this decision. Mrs. Marques has the ability to reach each child where they are, and that is not an easy task- especially with a classroom of over 20 children. She was instrumental in our daughters 2nd grade year at Great Oak and we are devastated our younger daughter will not be able to experience her classroom. Please strongly reconsider this decision.

ALEX’s contract should be renewed. She is VITAL to this school department.

Teachers like Alex are hard to come by. As an educator myself, to find someone as enthusiastic, dedicated, and collaborative as Alex is like gold. She continues year after year to grow and expand her own knowledge in the field and shares that with others. She sets high expectations for her students in an engaging and secure manner. This will be a terrible loss for the Danvers Public School System and she deserves better.

Alex is a wonderful teacher, mother and friend. She loves being a teacher and it shows! She is a wonderful addition to the school system and I think her students would agree.

This teacher was nominated teacher of the year and then terminated? This does not make sense.
