I have been in education for the past 13 years and have plenty of experience witnessing greatness in other teachers. Mrs. Marques happens to be hands down, one of the BEST educators I have had the pleasure to work with. Her passion, love of children, creativity, kind hearted, enthusiasm in and and out of her classroom is what other teachers should strive to be. She not only inspires her students but her peers as well. She was a vital asset to our school that the students and staff looked forward to seeing each and everyday. She is truly a one of a kind inspiration to kids!!!

I had the pleasure of teaching with Alex Marques in Richardson ISD for several years. Alex was an exemplary teacher who I looked up to and modeled some of my teaching practices after. She is incredibly skilled at connecting with students and families and is a born educator. Alex consistently goes far above and beyond to bring authentic learning experiences to her students. It boggles my mind that any district would let such a dedicated and talented educator go.

Mrs. Marques is exactly the type of teacher that we should be retaining in this district. She had a profound impact on my child during her first year at Highlands and we were grateful for the part she played in his educational path.

Alex is an incredible, genuine, fun, and smart woman, mom, and friend who absolutely loves to teach. Even when meeting her briefly one would learn this immediately. Losing her would be a disgrace to the Danvers school system, I hope many other elementary kids get to experience her love and enthusiasm for teaching.

This is a very odd decision by the school board. Totally worth bringing back.

Mrs. Marques is an amazing person. Her smile literally lights up a room. She is everything you want to see in an elementary school teacher. She is positive, friendly, caring and wonderful at teacher. To get rid of such a loyal teacher is only doing harm to your school for not giving the best for the children

I met Alex nearly 15 years ago when we were studying for our Master's Degrees in Teaching together. From the moment I met Alex, I was struck by her endless energy, optimism and enthusiasm for teaching and for really for everything she becomes involved with. I had the pleasure of student teaching in the classroom next door to Alex and then becoming colleagues again years later. To this day, Alex continues to collaborate with me as an educator even though we live and work several states apart. She does this because that is who Alex is- she is a team player, a collaborator, and someone who truly understands teaching and learning. I have been teaching for over a decade and when I think of great teachers who I have known over the years, Alex's name is one of the very first to come to mind. She is a true gem.
