The university has officially greenlit the proposal for the new student-run bike shop on campus. This outcome confirms that a focused vision for our community is worth pursuing. I am grateful to each of you who signed and helped turn this idea into a reality for our campus.
Loyola Marymount University is looking at starting up a bike shop on campus. The idea was proposed by students, and the shop itself would be run under LMU Campus Recreation by students. If you support the proposed bike shop and believe that it would be beneficial to the LMU campus, please sign our petition.
The feedback from campus recreation suggests that student interest is the primary factor they are using to evaluate this project. Behind the scenes the proposal is gaining enough traction that we have begun discussing the logistical requirements of a permanent space.

Reaching this level of support confirms that a campus bike shop is a genuine need for our community rather than just a passing suggestion. It is encouraging to see so many people recognize the practical value this space would provide for students who rely on cycling every day.

It's smart and aligns with the current pro-health and eco-friendliness movement. This shop would help current bikers and attract new bikers. An overall social benefit.
