Centre Soccer is supporting a proposal under discussion within the Centre Region Council of Governments, Parks Capital Committee. The proposal would provide a framework to allow organizations within the region to have their fundraising efforts designated for park facilities to be matched, in part, by the committee.
Centre Soccer is very active in funding improvements to park facilities for the benefit of the community. As you may know, we led the fundraising efforts to develop Fogelman Fields and we are now among several organizations, working towards developing turf fields at the new Whitehall park.
This is also an opportunity for you and organizations you support to have a say in how park funding is allocated. We can do a lot together to maximize the benefits of our local parks.

As a perspective graduate student, I was impressed with Penn State's world class institution. Now as a resident of State College, I'm baffled with the lack of soccer facilities in the area. It would be amazing to be able to have access to playing at a decent field. This is a great idea and has the potential to benefit the local economy as well with players coming in from other nearby areas.
This is a must. Grew up with a similar facility and it is amazing the use it received from youth to adults.
I feel that any help in providing funding for the new facilities would be a great help to the organization.
This is a reasonable approach for local athletic leagues to partially fund specific improvements to Centre Region parks.
I support the plan to adopt a matching-fund approach to completing regional parks.

To my tax dollars...yes, I play sports still at 48. Centre County is NOW a hotbed for Futbol. This isn't just for kids!!!
