City government shouldn't be used as a tool for one curmudgeon neighbor to stop creativity and raising donations for non-profits from this great project. Time for Albany leadership to step-in, give some waivers for the permits and allow this fantastic community event to happen, with the proceeds going to charity, not the planning department coffers.

I fully support the Albany Haunt. It's a community institution that should be allowed to exist and grow. All of this because of one crabby neighbor? In the words of Sir Paul McCartney: "Let it be". It's only a couple of nights a year and it's for a good cause. Back off and let it happen.

Let's encourage our youth and community to engage and provide positive outcomes rather than penalize their creativity and desire to help others. So proud that to see!

I have yet to meet Sam but I admire and wholeheartedly support his initiative and creativity, and I think this is something we as a community should encourage rather than impede or block.

If someone is kind and generous why would you try and ruin that? Good for this man!

I would like to know what this neighbor's contribution to the community is that makes him feel so entitled to halt Mr. DuBois' charitable work.
