Good luck Sam. Halloween is such a fun time, and the Bay Area already doesn't have many Halloween haunt locations... because nobody can afford to do it here! If I was your neighbor, I'd be out there helping. Good luck!

How many positive, character-building opportunities are we going to cut for children as teenagers? All for the benefit of ONE middle class person? I'd like to know how much community service work the neighbor does. I'd like to know how much money he donates to his community and those in need every year. I'm sure HE will be fine with HIS child setting up lemonade stands, and going door-to-door selling magazines, or possibly even setting up a front yard nativity scene....but heaven forbid someone other than he or his family benefit from hard work and open hearts.

This is a short term event and is much less impactful on neighbors than, say, Solano Stroll, or even the smaller events in Albany like block parties or Memorial Park events, or a neighbor's remodel that strings along for months. 'Nuisance' issues in the city should also be judged on their timing and thus impact. A haunted house, doing good work and building cultural traditions in ALB, that also closes at the end of the holiday, is a great thing for this town! I'll be going this year, with my kids.

This is a great way to bring the community together and keep the teens doing something safe and out of trouble. It's ONE night. The neighbor should leave town if it's that much of an issue... Or get ear plugs!

Keep fighting the good fight Sam! No one should have to endure this treatment and stop doing what they love because someone else doesn't agree with it.

I think what he's doing is great for the community and more kids should have his passion and tenacity. Anyone who discourages kids from reaching their goals that help other people are what's wrong with society today.

Let Sam build and provide fun and meals for many. Children tend to fear things because their parents teach them to. Personal opinion, of course. Happy Halloween!

Let the kids do some good. Isn't it nice to hear a child is doing something positive instead of the negative. Maybe if other teenagers hear the story they'll start helping in their communities also. This is a special kid God bless him and happy Halloween

Anytime a kid works this hard to do something good for the community and raise money for charity he/she should be celebrated. Sam has gone through all the right channels and should be encouraged to proceed.
