Support TerraSole Ristorante
I am Pietro Polini, a resident of Ridgefield and the proud owner of TerraSole Ristorante, a beloved establishment in Ridgefield, CT. This restaurant is not just a business to me; it is an integral part of our community that has brought joy, comfort, and delicious meals to countless residents and surrounding communities. It has become a destination restaurant that brings many people to our community. However, we are currently facing an issue that threatens the existence of the restaurant.
After three years, a letter from the Director of Planning and Zoning was received stating TerraSole Ristorante needs permits for existing structures. Even though at the time we were advised differently. Without these permits, we risk having to alter or remove parts of our establishment - changes which will negatively impact both our operations and your dining experience. We tried to appear before the proper boards and commissions to rectify any misunderstandings and obtain the proper permits but were dismissed without any conversation. Since these changes happened during Covid there were certain Governor Executive Orders that took precedence and I believe even town officials were not completely sure about what was happening. It is not fair that three years later the town wants me to remove everything which could put me out of business, instead working with me to fix. If you would like to read more about this please see the letter posted on HamletHub Ridgefield.
Ridgefield is home to over 25,000 people (US Census Bureau) many of whom have dined at and enjoyed what TerraSole Ristorante offers. This issue affects not only me as the owner, but also you as patrons who participate and appreciate the unique and quality dining experience we provide.
We urge local authorities to grant these necessary permits promptly so that we can continue serving you without disruption. Your support will help ensure the TerraSole Ristorante remains a cherished part of Ridgefield vibrant community.
Please sign this petition, if you believe in preserving the character and tradition of local businesses like mine, you can help make all the difference for TerraSole Ristorante - let’s keep our community flavorful.

We are approaching the one hundred signature mark which serves as the threshold for our formal presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Getting past this number today will allow me to attach a verified count to the legal briefs being prepared for the town hall meeting.

TerraSole has been an important part of the community as a business that contributes to Ridgefield’s tax base, both directly and indirectly. Creating this hardship on a strong member of the community doesn’t seem like strong civic leadership. They should be finding a solution that helps both.
We live in a neighboring town 45min away. It is worth the drive for us, due to the enjoyment we consistently experience at Terra Sole in terms of their excellent food, attentive service and warm atmosphere. Terra Sole restaurant is a wonderful asset that would be sad/unfortunate for Ridgefield to lose.
Incredible that the town of Ridgefield isn’t thanking TerraSole restaurant for all the additional revenue they bring in the form of customers from surrounding towns that do more than just eat. So many people would avoid Ridgefield if not for this wonderful restaurant.
This restaurant is a gem that residents of Ridgefield and neighboring towns enjoy! They managed to survive during Covid by being creative and should not be punished for it. We need to support businesses not destroy them .
I beleive that Pietro is speaking correctly- Covid was a confusing time and perhaps the leadership or guidance he needed wasn’t provided. It was all so convoluted. Glad it is over and I stand with Pietro.
Small business are Amazing! Lots of love put into the business. With that personal touch for the benefit of the community.
This restaurant is a treasure. Please work with the owner so that he may keep open his business.

It would be unethical for thezoning board to ask this business to tear down existing structures. Instead the board should work together with the owner to meet building laws and remedy the situation. You are not in the business of closing small businesses down!
